I grew up in a foodie family. Even those who married into our family, became foodies, if they were not already. Life at home revolves around the kitchen, like in many homes, albeit, from my past and current experience, ours is unique as my mother, brother-in-law, aunts, grandmother and great grandmother make nearly EVERYTHING from scratch, and every forkful is delicious, healthy and fresh. The emails flying about from family member to another requested that a certain type of curry paste is procured while in Thailand on holiday; that one brand of chutney is bought in London at the one shop who sells it!; that the best bagels require an hour’s drive to collect in South Orange, New Jersey… it’s a bit crazy, but when you have a half Italian/ half Jewish family like mine, it’s normal, and we all appreciate the effort and delights. Each of us only has so much time to travel, to enjoy an unknown (or known!) destination, to feel at home and comfortable while away on business. Suzanne’s Files in large part started with my fascination for unique, wonderful locations, with lovely places to lay your hat. When I launched Suzanne’s Files, summer 2006, I never would have guessed that just two years later I’d find the perfect home for my ‘baby’ in Spire, what is now fast becoming the place to tap in-the-know insight from savvy, discerning people. I’d heard from so many of my subscribers all over the world that they’d love to know what other fans of Suzanne’s Files had to say - what their experiences had been - to help inform their lifestyle decisions. Finding the best and leaving the rest is what I love to do — so, I have made this my full time job and life for that matter…this way, everyone else can focus on what they are good at while leaving the heavy lifting to me and my team to let you know via the S Files (Suzanne’s Files on Spire). What are these Files you ask? …
